Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) reports to the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner and is responsible for formulating partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added services to health enthusiasts at all levels that reflect the business objectives of the organization.  This high-impact role operates in a fast-paced environment, partnering directly with field and corporate leaders to align people strategies with business goals. The ideal candidate is a skilled influencer and problem-solver who brings deep HR knowledge, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to drive meaningful outcomes through talent and organizational effectiveness. This position requires up to 50% travel to stores, and leadership meetings across the regions.

Responsibilities

Employee Relations & HR Operations

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to retail leaders and Health Enthusiasts on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies and procedures while mitigating risk and supporting a positive employee experience.
  • Coach leaders to strengthen people leadership capabilities and resolve team challenges proactively.

Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with leadership to assess talent needs, succession plans, and pipeline health; support strategies for internal mobility and bench strength development.
  • Support the deployment of enterprise talent initiatives such as TIP (Talent, Impact & Potential).

Organizational Design & Change Management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on restructuring efforts, role clarity, and team alignment to drive business performance.
  • Lead change management efforts in alignment with new programs, technologies, or org changes by equipping leaders with the tools and messaging for success.

Leadership Coaching & Development

  • Provide coaching and development support for retail leaders and managers
  • Facilitate key training programs and workshops that build manager effectiveness and reinforce company values and strategic goals.

HR Project Execution & Strategic Initiatives

  • Contribute to HR-wide projects, pilot programs, and process improvements that elevate the Health Enthusiast experience.
  • Partner closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to roll out enterprise programs and ensure adoption at the field level.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5-10 years experience in HR Management, Labor Relations, or related field, or equivalent experience and instruction at a management level.

Required Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of recruiting processes and strategies and legal regulations, including EEOC, state and other federal employment regulations and laws.
  • Solid experience with data management systems.

Required Experience:                 

  • 5-10 years of HR generalist experience within a large organization.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and practices and employee relations.
  • Ability to apply judgement to ambiguous or out-of-policy situations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners. 
  • Strong facilitation and project management skills, with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to think strategically and to translate and execute an action plan.
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work in an environment with constantly shifting and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to drive change through influence and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook and internet applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and constantly evolving setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and facilitation capabilities
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • A solutions-oriented, roll-up-your-sleeves approach with an eye toward continuous improvement.

Compensation

The salary for this position is based on many factors such as role requirements, skill set, years of experience and other organizational needs. The estimated range is $84,000 - $96,000 per year.
